Miniature worlds

Alongside my community music and heritage work, I am a keen model-maker, working primarily with building dioramas and model railway scenes. I'm a member of both the N Gauge Society (North East of England & County Durham Group) and am currently working with two mental health charities in County Durham to co-create diorama scenes. Being involved in these creative communities has shown me how model-making supports men’s wellbeing: offering structure, camaraderie, focus and shared purpose.  My work focuses on trust, empowerment, and helping communities tell stories in ways that are rooted in the identities and places of County Durham.
